General Information

II purchased these shrimp from a seller on Ebay initally as "Yellow Shrimp" and later they told me they were "Minami Shrimp." They are some sort of Neocaridina species but they are NOT Yellow Shrimp. They may be a wild variety or they could be a mix of various morphs of Neocaridina species. Regardless of what exactly these shrimp are they make an excellent shrimp for the beginner. They are extremely easy and even more prolific then Cherry Shrimp.

Appearance

My wild types are very variable in color. Many are a nice light green color where others have some red in them like the berried female above. If you were interested in trying to come up with a new color morph these shrimp would probably be a good place to start.
