General Information
These beautiful species are actually a mutation of the crystal red shrimp. The "golden" gene is recessive. Individuals in Germany have noted that crossing Golden CRS with normal CRS result in CRS with a lot of white but of a poor intensity.
Appearance
Golden CRS have a pinkish orange or a yellow orange color in their flesh and a white outer shell. Some individuals have a more solid white outer shell then others and are often considered a higher grade even though there are no official criteria for grading Golden CRS.
