Aquarius - The Aquatic Experience Volume 2

Free Ground Shipping On All Orders Over $49* Details

Another magazine by Chris Lukhaup

As Wilhelm Busch, the German poet, says so rightfully in his well-known work Mark and Moriz: "this was the inital trick, but the second follows quick." In the second edition of Aquarius, we will have more expert opinions, like that of Alex Breton, who has been keeping and breeding Siamese Fighting Fish for over 30 years, being the Betta Mama during the day and rocking the house in her bar in Berlin during the night. Again, a part of the play are Ulli Bauer, who is lobbying for Physa snails in this issue, and Sandra Presis, the expert for marine crustaceans and salty aquaristics. The French Dane Marie Sophie Germain has contributed a great article about the new cool Danish Aquarium Style she has created. In her opinion, "Red is the new Green," and she uses red plants exclusively for her aquascapes. We accompanied Isidora Paz Lopez in the USA, where we observed how crayfish are dug out of the ground, where they build burrows tha reach down up to 2 metres in order to escape drying out. This is not a job for those who don't want to get their hands dirty! Jenny Adler of the University of Florida is an expert in the field of Florida freshwater snails, and she has spent most of her life under water. She shows us one of the most beautiful snail habitats on this planet.
